Jimmy Gomez for Congress Continues Endorsement Roll With Overwhelming Grassroots Support at California Democratic Party

Los Angeles, March 14, 2022 – As the campaign season continues to heat up, Congressman Jimmy Gomez continues to build its list of top tier supporters, landing the official endorsement of the California Democratic Party. This comes after several prominent progressives and organizations like Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, chair of the House Progressive Caucus, announced their endorsements of the Congressman as well.

Said Congressman Gomez after the results were announced: “I am proud to be a grassroots Democrat, and it’s incredibly meaningful to have the continued support of our diverse and growing state party.”

As a leading voice from the progressive wing of the Democratic Party in Congress, and one of the earliest victories from the famous “Blue Wave” of 2017 & 2018, Gomez directly linked his victory and campaign to the fight against Trump-inspired and QAnon aligned forces threatening democracy across the country.

“With the rise of right-wing extremism threatening our democracy – whether in the form of misinformation campaigns of hate, or Republican orchestrated voter suppression – the Democratic Party stands as the primary bulwark protecting our rights and fighting for a future that gives everyone in this country a chance at a better life.”

The Congressman’s Campaign Manager, Ben Tyson, added his own take on the endorsement as well, saying: “As Congressman Gomez  continues to consolidate victories from across the Democratic Party both in the 34th district and nationally, he is solidifying his status as one of the leading voices for the progressive movement and the next generation of leadership in California and across the country.”
