We oppose the Congressional Republicans’ efforts to cut the $750,000 in federal funding secured by Congressmember Jimmy Gomez in last year’s budget for the Translatin@ Coalition (TLC) to provide employment skills and workforce development training in Los Angeles. This is not a budget issue – it’s an issue of discrimination. The Republicans in Congress are trying to rally its base with hateful attacks, and this is the latest example. We stand together against hate, and strongly oppose any such efforts.
